Planning for your lifestyle in retirement is just as important as planning for your finances.

We’ve seen too many retirees smartly save for decades, but pay little attention to how they’ll spend their retirement time. When people approach retirement this way, it can feel overwhelming, and even contribute to negative physical and mental well-being outcomes like anxiety, and depression.

Everyone deserves a smooth transition into retirement.

Retiring stirs up a lot of emotions. Figuring out what happens after you stop working can feel distressing and uncomfortable. Plus, the lifestyle shift from a decades-long routine and career to a completely open schedule can alter your self-worth, purpose, and sense of accomplishment.

Our Values

Change The Way You Retire

What I enjoyed most about the process was that it was truly tailored to my goals. After three years of retirement, I felt lost. I no longer had a zest for life and felt like I was just passing the time doing random things around the house. The resources and tools provided helped me rediscover my purpose—to become a lifelong learner. I’ve just enrolled in a Spanish class at my local college.

  • What is life coaching vs. therapy?
While we are not licensed mental health therapists, we share their commitment to caring for the entirety of who you are within a safe and welcoming environment. We bring a unique perspective to the aging process and are dedicated to assisting people in living their lives to the fullest. As lifestyle retirement coaches, our aim is to collaborate with older adults, helping them navigate the transition to and through retirement by designing a fulfilling and personalized way of spending their free time. Our coaching plans encompass a range of services, including creating routines, discovering new hobbies, defining one's purpose, addressing loneliness by fostering social connections and community, exploring encore careers, and learning to redefine your identity beyond your profession, and much more!
  • What if I don’t want to retire?
We are fully supportive of those who choose to work part-time or full-time into their later years. We believe that not having a defined plan during post-work years is perfectly acceptable, many people prefer to maintain an active lifestyle and routine to promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Does Moro provide retirement financial planning?
Although we do not provide financial planning services, we recognize the importance of financial security in retirement planning. That is why we collaborate with Certified Financial Planners who can assist people in creating a comprehensive financial plan for your future.
  • Why do we think retirement lifestyle planning is important?
We recommend planning how you'll spend your time as you begin to wind down your career. Retirement research shows that a failure to properly plan how older adults spend their time post-work can have negative physical and mental health outcomes. Almost 1 in 3 retirees say they feel depressed -- a rate higher than that of the overall population. An ongoing study found that retired people, especially those in the first year of retirement, are about 40 percent more likely to experience a heart attack or stroke than those who keep working.

Our plans are customized to meet the short and long-term needs of our diverse clients. We start by doing a thorough 90-min life assessment where we discuss goals and how we can work together. Next our coaches interview three friends or family members who help us to gain a better understanding of who you are. Then we work with clients to map out a program that includes customized modules.
